River City Labs Weekly Wrap Up

Community Update 10/10/17

It was a crazy week at RCL! We’ve had morning coffee meetups, Friday pitches and a HotdesQ lunch.  We also opened our doors to the community for RCL Open Day.

Friday drinks and Pitches

We are super proud of our Startup community at RCL, this week they’ve been busy moving and shaking up their industry.

Sitesee have deployed a new front end to production. They are always striving for a better user experience for 3d interactions.

Lachlan and Lucio are attending an infrastructure conference in Singapore with the support of our vendor Bentley Systems.

BOMAD have put out a survey to validate their target market and the problem they aim to solve. If members of the RCL community could complete the survey for them that would be amazing.

Rich from Worldview is in London/UK for a month, followed by a month in the US from mid Nov. He is doing recon on the shifting regulation of personal data processing and the application of blockchain.

Law Squared is fundraising for YGAP’s Polished Man campaign because they believe in creating a world in which no child suffers from violence. They are doing this for the one child who dies every 5 minutes as a result of violence. Make a donation and help support this worthy cause.

Hayden Mack has joined Erez’s team this week, be sure to say hello

Rewildin is a travel marketplace for private camping, glamping, ecolodges and nature workshops.

They have relocated to Brisbane for 12 weeks for the Horizons Slingshot Accelerator. If you know any landowners in Queensland region (or in Australia) who’d be keen to earn additional income and be listed on Rewildin, please have a chat with them.

Harvey of TripShare would love to chat with anyone that has been on holiday with friends/family in the last three months? Alternatively, have a holiday coming up? He would like to buy you a coffee 🙂

The Queensland government has agreed to work with Canaria to establish new legislation which will prevent the abuse of their biometric technology in the resources sector.

Canaria is now preparing to launch research with the University of Monash to prove the viability of their fatigue-prediction system.
